Southchip's 25W wireless charging module SM232A has empowered the well-known wireless charging brand Aukey's latest product, MagFusion 2X, to successfully obtain WPC's first batch of global Qi2.2 certification.
Recently, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) announced the first batch of globally Qi2.2 certified devices. The well-known brand Aukey's latest product, MagFusion 2X, is among them and has become the first dual-device wireless charger to pass Qi2.2 certification. The core component within this new 2-in-1 product is Southchip's 25W wireless charging module SM232A.
The latest Qi2.2 protocol builds upon the advantages of precise magnetic alignment, increases the MPP power limit from 15W to 25W, and introduces stricter multi-point temperature control strategies. This is expected to further promote the widespread adoption of wireless charging.
Aukey's real-world tests show that using the MagFusion 2X to fully charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max is 25 minutes faster than with the previous generation Qi product. As the core component, the SM232A provides robust power support for the MagFusion 2X with its high performance.
SM232A module is a 25W wireless power transmitter which supports multiple QI wireless power profiles. Including basic power profile (BPP) and magnetic power profile (MPP). The module integrates a powerful Qi protocol SOC- SC96019 which integrates high resolution full bridge controller, full bridge power MOSFETs, multiple channels ASK demodulation circuit, multiple channels ADCs, multiple GPIO ports, Q value detection circuit and so on. The module supports multiple power source, such as DC source, USB-PD and HVDCP. And integrates a Buck-boost converter ‘SC8723B’ for inverter voltage adjustment to meet different power requirements. The module supports I2C interface and can be easily connected to other system as a submodule for control. The module integrates multiple protection function, such as foreign object detection (FOD), over current protection (OCP), over temperature protection (OTP) and low voltage protection (LVP).
