3A/40VABS, Automotive Fully Integrated USB PD and UFCS Solution with Integrated Step-Down Converter
The SC81535Q is a fully integrated USB PD and UFCS solution. It integrates a Buck converter with 2 integrated power switches and a USB PD and UFCS controller. The SC81535Q operates over 4.9V to 26V wide input voltage and can output 3.3V to 12V voltage. It also supports up to 3A continuous output current.
The SC81535Q supports USB PD3.1 with PPS and backward supports UFCS, DCP/CDP schemes for Battery Charging specification (BC1.2), 3A Divider Mode, 1.2V/1.2V Mode. It also supports QC2.0/QC3.0, Huawei FCP/SCP as well.
The SC81535Q’s buck converter employs current mode control scheme. The switching frequency could be set at 250kHz/420kHz/2.1MHz through Efuse. The SC81535Q also provides optional spread spectrum to optimize EMI performance.
The SC81535Q supports a flexible power management state machine when the battery voltage is low, or the temperature is high. When two SC81535Q are sued in dual PD or UFCS ports, the internal power sharing logic can smartly distribute the total power.
The SC81535Q offers input over-voltage protection, output over-voltage protection, cycle-by-cycle current limit, DP/DM/CCx short to battery protection, output short circuit protection, average output current limit and thermal shutdown protection.
The SC81535Q is available in 21-pin 3mm x 4mm Wettable Flank QFN.
