Overview

The general Buck PMIC adopts a classic step-down architecture, which can achieve stable step-down voltage output within the conventional input voltage range to meet the system requirements of fixed and adjustable low-voltage power supply. The general Buck PMIC controller features a compact structure and excellent compatibility, which can match universal power devices. It provides high-precision regulation, low-ripple and high-efficiency DC-DC step-down conversion for terminal systems, supporting a wide range of low-voltage and medium-low power general power supply scenarios. Integrated with power MOSFETs with ultra-low Rds(on), the general Buck conversion PMIC features high integration, small size and fewer peripheral components, delivering high-stability and cost-effective standardized power supply solutions for consumer electronics, industrial equipment, communication devices, servers and other general systems.

The general Buck PMIC covers a conventional low-voltage input range and is suitable for medium and low-power applications with adaptable output currents. It offers both controllers for cost-effective and flexible configuration scenarios, and integrated-MOS converters for small-form-factor and high-integration requirements.

By adopting ALPM™ adaptive low-power mode and UFC™ ultra-fast control optimization technology, the PMIC ensures high-efficiency operation across the entire load range and achieves microsecond-level fast transient response.

It integrates multi-phase power MOS arrays, driver circuits, control cores and monitoring ADCs on a single chip, equipped with ALPM™ segmented driver architecture, APS Adaptive Phase Shedding and SVDM Strength Versatile Driver Mode. Leveraging patented VCAR-MCOT™ multi-phase non-linear COT IP to reuse control resources, it greatly reduces peripheral BOM components and PCB layout area, balancing compact device size, full-range high efficiency and operational reliability.

Smart Power
It supports high-speed DVFS dynamic voltage scaling with tracking speed up to 50mV/μs, and is compatible with multiple communication buses including I²C/I³C, PMBus and SPMI. An integrated ADC realizes telemetry monitoring for voltage, current, temperature and faults, while built-in MOTP/MTP programmable memory enables flexible configuration of PFM/IFM/FCCM modes. Combined with AVT™+PTC™ composite compensation algorithm to restrain voltage fluctuation, it digitally and accurately meets intelligent power supply demands of various processors.
